The Human emotions are classified into three categories
- Positive
- Negative
- General
Positive Emotions drive individuals to seek out pleasure and comfort within those emotions. Humans strive to maximize exposure to positive emotions through activities that may or may not be positive. Negative activities that can cause a short term positive emotion include substance abuse or binge eating.
- Love
- Sex
- Hope
- Faith
- Sympathy
- Optimism
- Loyalty
Negative Emotions:-Humans instinctively try to avoid negative emotions. These emotions are uncomfortable and cause humans to experience feelings that feel uncontrollable, irrational or behavior that is otherwise counterproductive to processing daily life and tasks.
- Fear
- Hatred
- Anger
- Greed
- Jealousy
- Revenge
- Superstition
General Emotions:-Emotions can be categorized into a general list of positive and negative emotions that show a gradual progression from negative to positive. This gradual sequence is a simplified list of basic emotions that humans experience but each emotion can encompass a range of secondary emotions. Revenge or hatred, for example, could be additional emotional states within the "anger" category.
